Microsoft MS DOS/95/98/me: Think Pad Round 3
- Well, I'm still fighting with this Think Pad 600. Now I just need to know some info on what format is telling me.
When I go to format the hd, everything starts the way it should.
But when it gets to about 55% done, there is a message that say's, " Trying to recover alloation units" then it gives ya the #.
In my case the # say's841,535. Does anybody know what it is telling me? It did finish once, but it took about 6 or 7 hrs.
I forgot to write down what it said when it was done, because I tried to run format again to be sure it did what it was supposed to. But it started the same thing with the alloating thing at about 55%. I wonder if I need a new hd? I will post what it say's when it's done. There mite be a clue there.
