Microsoft Game Technologies: XNA GSE + Schools?

What kind of love can a school get from Microsoft by deciding to use XNA tools in their curriculum? i'm in an advisory position with a few different colleges in Canada, and wonder about the incentives for schools to partner with MS in their game creation programs.

How does the school do that? Through prayer? :P

Neither of these schools are my schools. i'm a professional game developer sitting on the advisory board for both schools' new game development programs. i have an upcoming meeting with one institution. i've considered mentioning XNA GSE as a discussion point, but i would not know how to "sell it."

For starters, "free" is an awfully nice selling point, but beyond that ...
