Microsoft Game Technologies: XNA Parallax Engine

  • Hi,

I hope this doesn't break any of the rules, I have checked and I don't think that it does.

The parallax scrolling engine over at http://www.codeplex.com/Wiki/View.aspx?ProjectName=xnaparalax is comming along well.

I am looking for people to test it out and try it. At the moment the easiest place is to get it from the source download as I haven't got a proper release done yet. It is a free project. I am trying to work out the best way to release the code, ie via dll download, installer or complete source download.

How would people want to use a component? Does anyone have an idea how Microsoft intend to help distriubute components (seeing as Express doesn't have an installer project).

The Engine is quite comprehensive at the moment, I have a post on my blog that links to a demo I did in about 3 minutes, to show off how easy it is to use.

Let me know if anyone is willing to help develop, test or just propose some features that they would like to see.

    Kind Regards,

    Paul Kinlan
